Chalkboard Frame For Kid's Drawings

There's something I should tell you.

I really love my kids drawings.

I mean, I hate to throw any away.

I think my kids draw better than anyone else's.

Also, if one of my kids draws a picture for me I have to work hard not to cry.

I know, lame. Its ever since becoming a mum. I can't help it!

So now that Ethan's drawing and colouring I wanted a way to display his pictures.

This just goes on top of his drawers. The frame is painted with blackboard paint so I can write on what he drew.

Or Izzy can :)

Some of his other paintings and pictures still go on the fridge. This is a particularly special one he just drew for mother's day (in the UK its March).

Izzy has a board in her room I Mod Podged some scrapbook paper on, and hot glued on a couple of pegs.

This is a photo from her room tour (where I clearly had a little better lighting!).

Glad I have another chalkboard idea still that Izzy can use (coming soon!). She's quite taken with chalking. And I do love that they can draw on this frame too, more pictures for me to admire!

So how do you display your kids' art?

  1. This is a great idea! What a great way to dispay their art, and you can change it out and relabel it. Really cool. I saw your link on the Show and Share link party. :-)
