Peanut-butter-cookie-dough-frosted chocolate cupcakes (and possibly the longest blog title ever!)


SO good! 

Found the recipe over at gimmie some oven via Pinterest (of course!).

The cookie dough topping is egg free, so even safe for kiddies! Izzy loved helping with this recipe.



And my hubs liked even more wandering through and helping himself to a spoonful (or three) of the cookie dough.


I would say though, I halved the recipe so it would do my 12 instead of 24 cupcakes, but I still have spare (even with "helpers" taste testing!) and the topping is so filling that I would probably have about half as much on top as it suggests.


Good job I can only eat one before feeling sick, or they'd all be gone by now!

Plus I'm gonna count this as a no spend summer project. I'm pretty sure baking items are a necessity, and I can't count anything I bought on my normal food shop as extra spend right? ;)

  4. These look good - I always struggle with recipes using 'cups' as the measuring unit. I have a couple of sizes cup sets for baking (US version and another sort?- don't know)
    Rhiannon which did you use or did you just free-style?

    1. Sometimes I freestyle and use a mug, as long as you use the same guide for that recipe the proportions will be right, so you don't have to worry. I was just given some pampered chef measuring bowls (US) so I'm using them at the moment, seem to be the same as my UK set. Hope that helps!
